Intense fun
Just started drawing with my new inktense pencils. When actually adding the colour its all a bit so-so, but ad water and wow!! The colours really pop.

funny how it goes.
I was given two large canvases by the late, and lovely, Derek Snowden. I completed one with my acrylic Labrador, and I am very proud of it. However, as many of you might recall, I was never convinced by acrylics and always wary of trying them.

Shadow colour
For my last 'Rose'-painting, I used a mixture of cobalt blue with cadmium red for the shadow on the flower and to paint the branches. It was the first time I used this combination and I am rather pleased with the result.

Using brush pens with diluted ink or paint
I'd like to fill a brush pen with water mixed with ink or a pigment. I'd use the brush to paint half tones when I'm drawing with a black fibre tip pen .
Black fountain pen ink doesn't give a good mid grey as it seems to be bluish grey when dilute
